Crowfoot Mtn. and Bow Lake

A few days ago I made yet another trip up to the Columbia Icefield with yet another Japanese couple and when we stopped at Bow Lake on the way I noticed that the always adequate but usually unspectacular Crowfoot mountain was looking its very best with a fresh thin coat of September snow and some nice low angle morning sunshine. A little extra contrast was provided by Bow lake and a couple of trees that were still in the shadows.
I know it's just another big rock but I really saw it that morning in a way that I had never seen it before so I thought I would show it to you as well.
Talk about reaching for a topic I guess eh!

Anyway, my trips up and down the Banff/Jasper highway will soon be done for another year. I guess there are worse places to work.

That's an amazing shot Lorin. Probably better in person even but you snagged a great shot! Will we see you this weekend for Thanksgiving? Take care!

Great picture. I still can't believe that I haven't been there yet. I am so excited for the snow this year and the warm cozy feeling that goes along with it. Hope to see you this weekend.

Seasons Greetings! That looks like a Christmas card. You should send that to a card company.

Unfortunately I have to work this Sunday so I won't be able to be there (at Leslie's right?).

We've had this picture as our screen saver for a while but we're ready for a new one. What have you been up to? Any more great shots?

Well I think that must be the first time anyone has used a picture I took on their screen saver. I'm honored I must say.
I know it's been a while since I've posted but I'll try to have something new up soon.
