Nobody on the road
nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
the summer's out of reach
empty lake, empty streets
the sun goes down alone
I'm drivin' by your house
though I know you're not home...
(Boys of Summer - Don Henley)
If you have access to this song please play it now and listen to it while you read the rest of my post for full dramatic effect. If the original Don Henley version is unavailable the DJ Sammy version is also acceptable. Ataris version only as a last resort please. ;)
Just thought I'd let you all know that while you are just starting to enjoy the fall season where you are, we here in Banff are right back into winter already. There is snow on the mountain tops and I've had to scrape frost off my windshield the past two days already. This ten months of winter and two months of poor skiing we have here can get a little old sometimes.
I don't really have any exciting news or anything to tell but it's been so long since I made a new post that I figured I'd just complain about the weather to let you all know that I am still here. Thanks for stopping by.

Great Song! I like the Don Henley version best. Yes, it is sad to see the summer fading, but here we still have some nice days left,...I hope.
Hey Lorin,
Russ and johy here, just saying HI. Hope all is well. Take pictures of the leaves changing color in the big country out there, it would be fun to see.
Wow, great to hear from you Lorin. I've been on a bit of a blog diet lately...not checking so often so it was good have a new post from you when I looked today. We have had rain/hail yesturday and maybe more rain coming today. I am already dredding those bitter cold days.
We've been wondering what you're up to. We feel for you and the cold, not ready for winter here yet but the air has been bitter and crisp today -it's coming! I agree with Johy, we'd love to see the leaves changing, that's something we'll miss this year not being out in the East.
You should get a playlist on your blog so that when we come here we it will automatically play us the sweet sweet tunes of the 80's, and what ever other music you like. I request a littel Toto please.
I agree with Raymond on that music thing Lorin. I can't believe you haven't done it yet man! Have some sweet music playing while we look at all your scenery pics. Perferably "country - uh more precise....Rascal Flats would be nice please" what ever though.
So Lorin have you finished TWILIGHT yet? You have to let me know what you thought of it! Krissy loved it, Jewels reading it and I think Megs is too and Taylor is too and Ray read it and....anyways tomorrow I'm getting NEW MOON and ECLIPSE. Shall be good.
Ray I'm not sure how to add a playlist but it's worth looking into.
Johy, I haven't started that book yet but I will soon I hope once my work gets a little less busy.
don't read it at night!!! (ya know after it's all dark and all!!! well actually just don't read the last bunch of chapter at night the rest are okay too.
